The business began the “old fashioned” way, with a brilliant idea sprouting from an individual who was willing to burn the midnight oil seven days a week if needed. It all came about because of the love of color, along with an unquenchable curiosity of chemistry!

STROKE OF GENIUS LuminArte’s President, Leslie Ohnstad, started out making new and unusual paints in her kitchen sink some seven years ago. She took a handful of loyal individuals along with her on this new and exciting journey to develop more paints. The company currently has 25 employees and many unique paint lines, including their original Radiant Pearls™, Twinkling H2O’s™, and Primary Elements™

Newly added the more vibrant colors to my collection

I purchase all of the pale, shimmering colors to highlight my angel and female stamped images for years but shied away from the vibrant colors, what a mistake! They are so luscious that I use them on all my cards and have used them in collage/mixed media pieces that I am making. Love Them!! (SB, Wimberley, TX, United States of America)

Water Color Cakes
