The Color of Memories
Steve and Alma Mitchell founded American Crafts in 1995. Soon thereafter their sons Jeff and Wayne joined them. In 2001, after a successful tour of providing high quality products to the general craft market, American Crafts decided to focus on their passion for Scrapbooking and create innovative, high quality, well designed products specifically for the Scrapbooking industry.

Since then, we have steadily expanded our product offering and elevated our position within the market. We attribute our success primarily to what we consider our greatest strengths: high quality products and superior customer service. We look forward to many more years of creating awesome tools to make preserving memories fun and easy.

Dear Lizzy + American Crafts - Friday, January 08, 2010

Announcing our Dear Lizzy collaboration -- a new line created by American Crafts and scrapbooker/blogger Elizabeth Kartchner! Dear Lizzy is spring-themed, but it’s so versatile you can use it for everyday projects. The concept is an outdoor tea party, inspired by nature and childhood play – you’ll notice designs of darling flowers, trees and bicycles throughout.

This is the first time American Crafts has teamed with another designer to create a line, and Elizabeth worked closely with us to ensure a balance between our trademark look/feel and the feminine, playful touch of the designer herself.

A longtime AC fan, Elizabeth was Creating Keepsake’s 2007 Scrapbooker of the Year and now writes a column in CK magazine. She’s also author of the recently released book 52 More Scrapbooking Challenges, and she chronicles her projects and life as a mother of two on her blog.

We’ll have more info about Dear Lizzy next week, so stay tuned. The line will be available for purchase very soon.

Farewell, 2009 Week - Monday, December 28, 2009

Hope everyone had a great holiday! We're back to work here on the AC Studio Blog and getting ready to celebrate again this week. I always love the excitement that comes with a fresh new year. It's fun to think of new resolutions, plans, and ideas for the days ahead. Sarah says: "I had a hard time trying to pick photos for an "end of the year" page so instead I just typed up all the things I did throughout the year and printed it out for a background. Then I used my 2010 picture from my New Year's cards in an "out with the old, in with the new" way. The Letterbox paper's slight retro feel went great with the photos and the journaling stickers were the perfect touch for my small handwritten parts."

Borrow Sarah's idea of journaling all the things you did throughout the year and getting it all down in your scrapbook. I know you'll love looking back on this page in the future. What was the best thing you've done in 2009? We'd love to hear your fun memories!
